How Do Cabinetku’s Payment Terms Work?
Before confirming a custom cabinet project, homeowners should understand when each payment is required and what stage of work it covers.
Cabinetku uses a four-stage payment structure, allowing the project payments to follow the progress of the design, production, installation and final handover.
Cabinetku’s payment terms are divided into four stages:
• 10% booking fee
• 50% production payment
• 35% installation payment
• 5% final balance
Only 10% is required at the beginning of the project. The remaining payments are collected according to the project’s progress.
Stage 1: 10% Booking Fee
A 10% booking fee is required before the 3D design process begins.
The 3D design will only commence after the booking fee has been received.
Once the 3D design has been issued, the 10% booking fee is non-refundable.
Stage 2: 50% Production Payment
A 50% production payment is required when the project proceeds to the production stage.
At this stage, the cabinet design is locked and no further amendments can be made.
Production will proceed according to the confirmed design.
Stage 3: 35% Installation Payment
A 35% installation payment is required before the completed cabinets are delivered to the project site.
Cabinet delivery and installation will proceed after this payment stage has been completed.
Stage 4: 5% Final Balance
The remaining 5% balance is payable after project handover and defect rectification.
This means the final 5% payment is retained until the handover process and required defect rectification have been completed.
Why Is the Payment Divided into Four Stages?
The four-stage payment structure follows the progress of the cabinet project:
• Booking and 3D design
• Production
• Delivery and installation
• Handover and defect rectification
Only 10% is collected upfront, compared with the common industry practice of collecting approximately 50% at the beginning.
The final 5% remains unpaid until the handover and defect rectification stage is completed.
